Technology


When it comes to technology I do use it every day of my life so it's nothing new. I am a little nervous when it comes to this class because what we will be using is majority of the things I have never came across or heard of a used before. For example the website publishing I've never done it before so I have no idea what to do when it comes to that. I never wanted to make a website so it just never came to mind. As for the bookmarking I do bookmark some things that are important and things that I need to keep up with. The text-to-speech reader I have never used that and I hope that we don't use it that often or it's not that hard to use. Now for the course website the announcements I'm always aware of announcements that are given out. So I do see all the announcements from the teachers that I have. As for the class Wiki I have never used it until this semester in this class. Seems like a bit of a hassle because everything could just be put on canvas but every teacher's different  so I have to learn to adjust to different ways. The support sites I don't go to the LMC Library often and nor have I ever used the growth mindset site. Unless a teacher assigns a book that happens to be in the LMC Library that's the only time I would go. Google Docs I use all the time I've been using Google Docs since middle school. It is the greatest thing to ever exist when it comes to writing essays and getting projects done. Now that I can say is a great tool and I know it's going to be useful for this semester in this particular class. I do have some concerns because a majority of the things that you listed are not things that I particularly use or have came across before. However I'm just going to have to get used to it because unless I want to fail the class I'm going to have to learn how to use the material and the websites that I'm assigned. I'm not really too excited for the semester because it's different from my other English classes which makes me a little nervous but I'm going to push through because I have a goal and this class is one stepping stone to that goal.

In the stories “ The Creation” and “ Coyote Cooks his Daughter”  there is a big theme of trust that is portrayed in both stories. I feel that both show a great amount of trust between friendship and family. “The Creation” is about a couple of friends Earthmaker, Coyote, and Meadowlark who go on a journey creating Earth. On this journey they all help each other and trust each other's decisions when it comes to making the planet. Now in “ Coyote Eats his Daughter” it's  about how a daughter is eaten by her own father. Trust is the most important thing between any relationship if you can't trust someone then you don't have any stability of Truth to rely on in which both of these stories uses a great amount of theme and tone to discuss the ways of how trust can be looked upon. Time Strategies

When it comes to time management strategies I always think ahead. Like some people will wait till the last minute and cram everything in just to make the deadline. Me on the other hand I will cram everything in when I first get the assigned so that I'm home free until the next assignment needs to be turned in or is assigned. So for example if an assignment is due on Friday I'm going to do all the work on Monday and Tuesday so that the rest of the week I don't have to stress about getting my work done on time. My schedule is pretty tight this semester because I'm taking four classes which are 12 units and I do have work on the sidelines. I do like the weekly calendar because it lets you know ahead of time  when something is due. Also love how all the week's worth of homework and projects we're going to do is already laid out so it's like you can work ahead and get everything done early.
