Feedback thoughts
Over the years since I can remember people have always been giving me feedback with things since kindergarten all the way up to now. Some of that feedback and comments were positive things in which people wanted me to improve on a certain subject or sport. I feel as if feedback is good it's like positive criticism. So just say for example if you are learning a language and you are excelling and reading and writing but you're lacking in speaking. A good person would tell you to not stop reading and writing but to pay more attention to the speaking part otherwise you won't learn how to speak in that particular language then it'll be like you're a step behind. There's also been negative feedback given to me before and I really didn't get mad over it but it also didn't make me feel that good. I think people need negative feedback if they are not doing something correctly when they know they should be doing it a different way. Or when some people know they could do better but they choose not to so that will give someone the permission to give them that negative feedback or criticism to try and help them get out of those bad ways. Overall I would have to say that feedback has helped me grow because just like with my writing my English 3 teacher in high school gave me feedback on my essays before I turn them in and I got better grades for it. There was even one time where I turned in an essay without getting any feedback and I got an A+ on it. Best day of my life and I asked him “are you serious?” and he said “yes” he really liked it and thought it was well written. At the end of the day I think that everyone should give others feedback but not too harshly because it could make someone feel bad about themselves and then they will end up regressing into a fixed mindset and not a growth mindset.
