"Feedback Strategies"
While reading the article “How to craft constructive feedback” there was some really good points that were made in the article. For example it said be a guide in which I think that this is the main one because most people don't have guides. Usually people will tell them “Oh your doing great” or “Yeah keep up the good work” without being straightforward with them and not telling them that they need to fix some things. I feel as if the best criticism or feedback is when the person is not giving you all praise because there is always something that needs to be fixed. And just by that little bit of feedback can make somebody change their mindset from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. It also stated in the article to observe, describe, and suggest. I also think that suggestion is it good way to get feedback because maybe going about a situation in a different direction may help. Personally it's 50/50 for me to give somebody feedback or criticism because sometimes I don't like giving people feedback because they may take it the wrong way or I may not give back honest feedback. What I mean by that is that I may only point out the good things in there writing and not the bad things because I don't want to put them down. But over the past few years I've learned to not do that and actually give people real constructive feedback. Some ways that I go about getting feedback his first I will name of all the things that need to be fixed then I will state all the things that don't need to be fixed and sound really good because then the writer can end on a positive note.
