Growth Mindset

When it comes to a fix mindset and growth mindset I find myself in the middle of both because it all differs on the situation and whether or not I want to continue to grow in the particular situation or thing that I'm learning. For example when it comes to work I have a growth mindset I'm always looking to improve my working skills. But if you really think about it people always all people want to improve their work because you make money off of it and it keeps you having a job so it's something that you want to do good. When it comes to things at home there's nothing really to grow on because everything at your house should be a certain way unless you change it but for the sake of this a blog  when you do chores you know how those things should be done so it's kind of like your mind is kind of fixed in a way because you don't really need to grow and learn how to do chores because you should already know how to do them. Unless you are a kid learning how to do chores. When it comes to sports I think that you definitely need a growth mindset because to be the best you have to work hard, practice, and tell yourself all the time “I can be better”. Just because you're not good at something at the beginning doesn't mean that you can't get better. I ain't going to lie in school I had good grades but when it came to math Lord have mercy on my soul I hated math and all I thought was I'm just going to learn everything that I need to know and that's it. I'm not going to try to improve on anything. I literally settled four C's in math because I hated doing it and I knew that I wasn't really that good at it but I could pass the class. Except for geometry that was awesome. Or for example when it comes to English I would say I have a fixed mindset because the way I write my essays and read books and take notes I do it a certain way and I've always done it that way and I don't like changing it. However if the teacher tells me to do something a certain way then obviously I'll do it that way but if the teacher doesn't ask there's no need to change my ways because I know I can do well with  how I'm doing things already. Overall the number one thing that I would say is that you need a growth mindset to move forward and learn new things. Last example I'm trying to learn a new language and yes it is hard but if I keep practicing and keep focusing on the goal that I'm trying to accomplish I can learn any language I want to learn. Everybody's minds are different even though it may take one person three years to learn a language it may take somebody else 10 years. But it's all up to you whether or not you want to keep pushing forward or not. So in the end I would have to say that I have a growth mindset when it comes to certain situations because it all depends on what my situation is for me to decide whether I want to have a fixed mindset or a growth mindset but a majority of the time I have a growth mindset.
